
International expansion is one of METRO Group’s most important strategic goals. The retailing group was one of the first companies to venture into China: it has been represented in the high-growth market by its sales brand Metro Cash & Carry since 1996. Within just twelve years, the company has opened almost 40 wholesale stores. And over the coming years, the sales network is set to be expanded even further. Media Markt is also preparing to enter the Chinese market.
