Turkey is a booming holiday destination with continuing economic growth. The number of restaurants, hotels and catering companies who need a lot of fresh and premium quality goods is constantly growing. This development contributes to the good market conditions for the self-service wholesaler METRO Cash & Carry. Since 1990, numerous wholesale stores have opened, especially in the Western metropolitan areas and in the tourist areas along the Mediterranean coast. cbi:///cms/240815

Since its market entrance, Real has opened several hypermarkets in larger cities like Istanbul and Ankara. In the past years, the retail brand focused increasingly on the introduction of new concepts and the investment in attractive prices in order to position itself in the very fragmented Turkish food retail sector. With success: in the meantime, Real has established itself and is one of the frontrunners among the market players in Turkey. cbi:///cms/240818

The Turkish consumer electronics market is characterised by fierce competition. For Media Markt and Saturn, however, Turkey is still an ideal location: the young and shopping-crazy population invests a large portion of their available salary in home electronics and household appliances. cbi:///cms/240822
