Shopping in your Pyjamas - Real launches online shop

With an assortment of more than 2,000 products, Real launches its online shop and offers products in the areas of Electronics & Photography, House & Garden, Babies & Toddlers, Health & Wellness, Toys as well as Sports & Leisure. By 2011, the assortment is planned to be extended to about 5,000 products.

"Today's youths are tomorrow's managers". This is a good description of the philosophy pursued by the retail company Real with regard to the promotion of junior talents. And it is also why, this year, Real concluded employment agreements with nearly three quarters of the vocational trainees who completed their training at the company. For three years, the career entrants attended vocational school and, in parallel, familiarised themselves with daily work at Real in practice-oriented job assignments. After successfully passing their tests before the examination board of the CIC, the graduates now start their retail career at Real.

Real Drive test store opened at the gates of Hanover

Today, the retail company Real opens the first independent drive-in supermarket and thereby once again underscores its role as an innovation driver in the retail sector. The easily accessible Real Drive pick-up station in Isernhagen-Altwarmbüchen near Hanover is the first test store. It operates independently from the neighbouring Real hypermarket and will exclusively cater to Drive customers. Next year, Real will decide whether the concept is to be extended to other cities in Germany.
